About CityTimeHub
CityTimeHub is an independent website for anyone whose day is split across more than one place — a parent calling family abroad, a remote worker lining up meetings across time zones, or a Muslim who wants prayer times they can trust in a city they have just landed in.
We built it because the tools we kept reaching for were either slow and cluttered, or buried prayer times three menus deep. CityTimeHub opens fast, works on your phone, and keeps the important numbers — the clock, the gap between cities, the next prayer — in one calm screen.
What you will find here
- Live world clocks for hundreds of cities, with day-and-night indicators so you can see who is awake at a glance.
- Prayer times — Fajr through Isha — calculated for your city's coordinates, with a live countdown to the next prayer and a printable monthly timetable.
- City pulse — a short live line on each city page with local weather and day length, so the day feels concrete, not just a list of numbers.
- Time-difference tools — compare two cities, plan a call, or find the best window to reach family in another country.
- Qibla direction, Hijri/Gregorian dates, morning and evening adhkar, and a Reflections section from the heart — we hope it benefits our faith and our worldly life.
Most calculations run in your browser, so clocks stay live and the site keeps working when your connection is weak. Prayer times are fetched from the established AlAdhan API using the calculation method conventional for each region.
Who it is for
A developer on a distributed team looking for an hour that is not midnight for half the group. A traveller who wants to know when the sun sets and when Maghrib falls in a city they have never visited. Someone in the Gulf working out when to call parents in Egypt, India, or the UK without waking anyone. If any of that sounds familiar, this site was made with you in mind.
The Android app
We also publish Time and Prayers (com.citytimehub.app) on Android — the same service inside a secure in-app browser, with optional prayer reminders and a home-screen shortcut. On Google Play it appears as Prayer Times & World Clock. The website and the app stay in sync: when we improve the site, you see it in the app after a refresh.
How we work
CityTimeHub is free, requires no account, and is maintained by a small independent team. We fund the project through advertising on the website (not inside the native app shell). We take privacy seriously — no selling of personal data, and a clear Privacy Policy that explains exactly what is collected and why.
